EMERGING BUSINESS APPLICATION NOW ONLINE
Looking to get involved in Super Bowl XLIII procurement opportunities? Certified minority- and woman-owned businesses in the Tampa Bay area can now apply online to participate in the NFL's Emerging Business program and be published in the Host Committee's Online Business Resource Guide.
The Emerging Business program was first created by the NFL in 1994, and continues to be the cornerstone of Super Bowl procurement efforts. NFL contractors, NFL affiliates and other event planners are all encouraged to utilize the Host Committee's Online Business Resource Guide as their main source for goods and services in Tampa Bay.
"The Emerging Business program not only gives these companies an opportunity to learn and grow, but also serves to strengthen Tampa Bay's business base and make Super Bowl XLIII a success we can all share," said Curtis Stokes, chair of the Emerging Business Committee.
Business looking to get involved should complete the online application available here. The second step is providing the Host Committee with a copy of their certification as a minority- or woman-owned business. Businesses still looking to get certified, should visit the Related Links page for a list of approved agencies.
While participation in the program does not guarantee receipt of Super Bowl XLIII-related contracts, it is the intention of the Host Committee that interested minority- and woman-owned businesses receive information on the Super Bowl procurement process and an introduction to potential purchasing entities. The Host Committee is currently developing several informational workshops to be held throughout the year. Check back at www.TampaBaySuperBowl.com for updates throughout the year.
